Togo, Benin, Gabon, Cameroon and the Republic of Congo join the Nodle network, helping Gozem locate and recover the vehicles it leases to drivers.
Nodle is partnering with Gozem, the super app for transport, delivery and financial services in French-speaking Africa. Gozem is joining the Nodle network and deploying it across the five countries where it operates: Togo, Benin, Gabon, Cameroon and the Republic of Congo.
The goal is practical. Gozem leases vehicles to drivers across its markets, and every one of those vehicles needs to be located and, when necessary, recovered. With the Nodle network, Gozem adds a new layer of visibility over its fleet, built on smartphones and Bluetooth rather than on costly dedicated infrastructure.
Gozem brings transportation, e-commerce, e-banking and financing together in one app. Its team works across 12 cities in French-speaking Africa, serving riders, drivers and businesses every day.
Nodle turns smartphones into Bluetooth gateways. A Bluetooth tag or device broadcasts a small signal. Nearby Nodle-enabled phones, along with always-on gateways, pick up that signal and relay it, so the owner of the asset knows where it was last seen. There is no SIM card and no cellular modem to install in each asset.
Today Nodle is one of the largest Bluetooth networks running on phones. It covers the places where people are, which is exactly where vehicles on a ride and delivery platform spend their day.
For Gozem, the network means two things:
Location. A clearer view of where leased vehicles are across five countries.
Recovery. A faster path to finding a vehicle when it goes missing or needs to come back.
Five new countries, and dense urban fleets moving through busy cities every day. Each new deployment makes the network denser and more useful for everyone who relies on it, from fleet operators to logistics companies to anyone tracking an asset in the region.
"Gozem has built one app that moves people, goods and money across French-speaking Africa. Bringing the Nodle network to their fleet means the vehicles drivers depend on are easier to find and easier to recover. Every country Gozem brings online makes the network stronger for everyone." Micha Benoliel, founder and CEO, Nodle
