Sid Dixit is joining Intergalactic Labs, the lab behind the Nodle network and protocol, as Advisor to the Board. His focus: exploring how wireless communications in space can extend the reach of the Nodle network to places no phone can cover.
Nodle started with a simple idea. The smartphones already in our pockets can act as a network that helps connected things stay in touch and find their way home. Today Nodle is one of the largest Bluetooth networks running on phones. The next step is to look up.
Sid has spent years building technology infrastructure at scale, in orbit and on the ground.
Very few people know both what it takes to build infrastructure in space and what it takes to move real goods through a network on the ground. Sid does, and that combination is exactly what Nodle needs for its next chapter.
Phones cover the places where people are. Satellites can reach the places where they are not.
The Nodle network works because smartphones pass near Bluetooth devices throughout the day, relaying their signals to the cloud. That model is strong in cities, along busy routes and anywhere people gather. It is thinner over oceans, deserts, remote farms and the long roads between cities.
Wireless communications in space could fill those gaps. Bringing phones and satellites together could mean that a sensor, a container or a shipment stays connected wherever it travels, not only when it passes near a phone. With Sid, Intergalactic Labs will explore how to make that possible for the Nodle network.
Nodle is one of the largest Bluetooth networks running on phones, and it keeps growing in good company.
Nodle works alongside Hubble Network, Apple and, more recently, Google. Each relationship extends what the network can see and connect. Sid's experience in satellite infrastructure and supply chain technology is particularly valuable as Nodle expands its connected asset tracking platform, from the phone in your pocket to the sky above it.
“When we started Nodle, the idea of turning phones into a network sounded a little crazy. Now the next frontier is right above our heads. Sid has built infrastructure in orbit and runs a network that moves real goods on the ground. It is an honor to build this next chapter with him.”
Micha Benoliel, Founder and CEO, Nodle
“I have spent my career building networks, first in orbit and more recently across the food supply chain. What drew me to Nodle is how it turns the phones people already carry into real infrastructure. Adding space to that picture could connect the places phones cannot reach, from the open ocean to the remote farm. I am excited to help the Intergalactic Labs team explore what that looks like.”
